Overview
NSS was founded in 2004 with a vision to make it a common literary forum to all the people dedicated to the cause of Nepali literature and culture. NSS stems from the belief that there should be an uninterrupted link between people living abroad and their mother tongue to stay connected with the culture and community. NSS understands that the link with the culture and community can be strengthened only with the development and promotion of its native language. One of the main objectives of NSS Canada is to provide a common forum to all who are interested in Nepali literature and culture, organise various literary programs, and archive the literary works presented in various literary forums organised by NSS. It also aims to publish its own literary magazine, and coordinate and publish various other literary works. This is an exclusively literary organisation, therefore, it will not be interested and involved in any non-literary activity. Nepali Sahitya Samaj Canada is federally registered organization in Canada since 2017.
